BIDDING – IMPORTANT INFORMATION
1.) Auction terms. Please read the General and Special Auction Terms carefully. The latter relates only to one, specific auction, e.g. payment details, locations, collection times, etc.
2.) Item Detail Page. On the Item Detail Pages you will find not only comprehensive technical information about the individual item, but also important details of different locations, special dismantling conditions, or special payment terms, etc.
3.) Auction Extension. The end of an auction will be automatically extended if new bids are submitted shortly before the auction is due to close (please see Special Auction Terms for details).
4.) Automatic Bidding Tool. With the help of the automatic bidding tool, you can determine the maximum amount that you wish to spend on an item. Once it’s installed, you don’t need to do anything else. The system will automatically continue bidding on your behalf up to your maximum amount. Once this amount is reached you will receive notification by e-mail and can decide whether you wish to increase your maximum bid or prefer to let the item go. If the stated maximum bid is not reached during the course of the auction, you will receive the item for the highest bid you have made, i.e. independent of the maximum bid specified in the bidding agent.
For example: You have specified EUR 400.00 in the bidding tool as your maximum bid. However, your bid of EUR 100.00 is not exceeded. That means you obtain the item for EUR 100.00.
5.) Confirmation e-mails. During the course of the auction you will receive the following confirmation e-mails: a) Extension of the bidding period; b) You are the highest bidder; c) A higher bid has been made; d) You have won the item.
