About this lot

Two identical special machines from the Italian manufacturer Fabers S.p.A., Piacenza (Italy), model Tornietto, designed for the precise production of buttons made of wood, plastic, mother-of-pearl or similar materials. These robust machines are specially designed for manual and semi-automatic series production and have been used in many traditional button manufacturers.
Each machine is equipped with a powerful rotary motor, a mechanical feed lever and a multi-stage belt drive that can be used to adjust different speeds. The stable sprue ensures low-vibration running and high machining accuracy. The spindle accommodates different tool holders – ideal for a wide range of button sizes and designs. An integrated suction device ensures clean working.
Both machines are in fully functional condition and are currently still in operation. They run smoothly, precisely and reliably. Mechanics, spindles and drives were regularly serviced. Normal signs of wear and dust deposits are present, but no damage or missing parts.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I bid on a lot?

To place a bid, you need to have an account with Surplex. You can create one by clicking on 'Create Account' at the top right corner of our website. Once registered and after completing your profile, you can start bidding on your desired items.

What is reserve price?

A reserve price is the (non-visible!) minimum amount that a seller has set for a lot and is the lowest price for which the seller is willing to sell. The highest bidder who meets or exceeds this price wins.

If this price is not met, you can still have a chance to win. The closer your bid is to the reserve price, the greater your chance of winning this lot.

The lot is awarded to the highest bidder whose bid is equal to - or higher than - the reserve price at the end of the auction. If the highest bid has met the reserve price or more, the lot is sold immediately for this price.

How much does it cost to buy at Surplex?

There is a fee, the buyer's premium, added to each lot you win. The amount of the fee is shown on each individual lot. You see the buyer's premium for each lot when you are logged in as a customer at Surplex. Note that VAT is always added to your bid unless otherwise stated.

What is an auto bid versus a manual bid?

An auto bid is a way for you to automatically participate in a bidding process. You enter an amount you are willing to pay for an item and then automatic bids are placed for you up to your maximum bid - but only if necessary. Your maximum bid is hidden from other bidders during the auction. Placed auto bids are indicated by an "A" after the placed bid in the bid history. You need to update a manual bid every time someone outbids you. Keep in mind that an auto bid in the same level as a later manual bid will always lead the auction - because it was placed first.
