WEEKE Bohrsysteme GmbH

WEEKE Bohrsysteme GmbH is a company from Herzenbrock-Clarholz, close to Gütersloh. It is part of the Homag Group, and it manufactures woodworking machines. They specialise in handicraft and industrial furniture construction, particularly kitchen fittings.

The History of WEEKE

WEEKE Bohrsysteme GmbH was founded as a simple locksmith by Gustav WEEKE and his son in October 1st, 1945 in Herzebrock. Even then the core of their business was to find solutions for the woodworking sector. After the war, Germany was destroyed and there was a high demand on wood products of all kinds, particularly for construction and furnishings. The industrial mass production of doors, frames and furniture was made possible through the development of innovative machines, like the first lock insertion machine. WEEKE & Son became a reputable manufacturer of highly efficient machines through their efficiency-enhancing innovations such as the multi-spindle system, which allows several holes to be drilled at once. From the beginning, the company had already started linking up production machines. This significantly increased the efficiency of the WEEKE machines. In 1986 the company WEEKE & Son was sold to the HOMAG Group. Today, they work under the name WEEKE Bohrsysteme GmbH.

WEEKE Bohrsysteme GmbH specialises on machines for the manual and industrial manufacturing of furniture. They produce woodworking machines for carpenters and cabinet makers, as well as highly efficient wood machining centres for mass producing furniture.
