MAHO MH 500 W4 – CNC milling machine with Philips control (defective, easy to fix)
Current state:
The machine currently shows an error message "Dynamic towing distance exceeded" on all axes. The central lubrication system is functional and filled, the buffer battery has recently been replaced and the machine constants have been installed correctly. When the towing distance monitoring is deactivated, the homing run runs without any problems – this indicates a control problem, presumably in the area of the encoder/feedback systems.
Assessment:
The error occurs intermittently, one or two successful launches were possible – this speaks against a serious hardware defect. For technically experienced users or repairers, the machine is very likely to be cost-effective to repair. Ideal for retrofits, spare parts acquisition or targeted repairs.
Advantages:
• Mechanically very well preserved
• All control components available
• Including control cabinet, control unit, documentation
Due to the above condition, the machine is sold as defective.
