Antique Dutch china cabinet

This piece of furniture is a Dutch china cabinet or display cabinet, probably made of (root) walnut. Such cabinets are often executed in a historical style such as Louis XV or Baroque. The case has a contoured (scalloped) shade that is often crowned with a stabbed crest. The upper part contains glazed doors with a rod division, intended for the display of porcelain or glassware. The base cabinet has one drawer and rests on characteristic curved legs, such as claw feet.
