About this lot

Swap body type C745 – with roller shutter & lashing strips – BDF swap body

For sale is a used swap body type C745 with rear roller shutter, formerly used by DHL / Deutsche Post. The body is designed for use on BDF chassis with standard exchange height (approx. 1,320 mm) and meets the standards of DIN EN 284.

The side walls are made of yellow insulated box body with a typical sandwich construction. The external appearance is characterised by discolouration, paint abrasion and rust on the frame and lower edge – typical for use in the logistics sector. The DHL lettering has faded significantly.

At the rear there is a functional roller door that can be opened and closed smoothly. In the interior, perforated strips (lashing strips) are mounted on both sides for flexible load securing. The floor is load-bearing and resilient, with clear scratches and signs of use.

Technical data (typical for C745):
• External dimensions approx.: 7,450 × 2,480 × 2,700 mm (L×W×H)
• Internal dimensions approx.: 7,330 × 2,470 × 2,550 mm
• Curb weight: approx. 1,600–1,800 kg
• Replacement height: 1,320 mm
• Roller door at the rear, suitable for forklifts (forklift pockets)
• Side walls with perforated strips for load securing
• Ex DHL/BDF compatible
Remarks:
The swap body is in used condition with typical signs of aging and use from logistics operations. The outer surfaces show discoloration, scratches, minor dents and rust in places, especially in the area of the lower frame profiles and corners. The DHL lettering is faded, but still recognizable.

The roller door at the rear is fully functional and easy to open and close. Inside, the container is dry and equipped with lashing strips (perforated strips) on both sides, which can be used to secure the load. The wooden floor is load-bearing, but clearly used, with scratches and pressure marks from the previous use with roll containers and pallets.

The supporting structure is non-warped, stackable and stable, suitable for further use as a storage container, workshop structure or mobile depot.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I bid on a lot?

To place a bid, you need to have an account with Surplex. You can create one by clicking on 'Create Account' at the top right corner of our website. Once registered and after completing your profile, you can start bidding on your desired items.

What is reserve price?

A reserve price is the (non-visible!) minimum amount that a seller has set for a lot and is the lowest price for which the seller is willing to sell. The highest bidder who meets or exceeds this price wins.

If this price is not met, you can still have a chance to win. The closer your bid is to the reserve price, the greater your chance of winning this lot.

The lot is awarded to the highest bidder whose bid is equal to - or higher than - the reserve price at the end of the auction. If the highest bid has met the reserve price or more, the lot is sold immediately for this price.

How much does it cost to buy at Surplex?

There is a fee, the buyer's premium, added to each lot you win. The amount of the fee is shown on each individual lot. You see the buyer's premium for each lot when you are logged in as a customer at Surplex. Note that VAT is always added to your bid unless otherwise stated.

What is an auto bid versus a manual bid?

An auto bid is a way for you to automatically participate in a bidding process. You enter an amount you are willing to pay for an item and then automatic bids are placed for you up to your maximum bid - but only if necessary. Your maximum bid is hidden from other bidders during the auction. Placed auto bids are indicated by an "A" after the placed bid in the bid history. You need to update a manual bid every time someone outbids you. Keep in mind that an auto bid in the same level as a later manual bid will always lead the auction - because it was placed first.

How does the payment process work?
