About this lot

For sale is a robust and proven hydraulic surface grinder from the manufacturer MATRA, model MF6. This classic machine is ideal for precise flat and fine machining in toolmaking, maintenance departments and training companies. The MF6 series is known for its solid cast construction, ease of use and high reliability – even after decades of use.
The machine is fully functional and was used in operation until the end. The grinding table has hydraulic longitudinal and transverse feed, which ensures a smooth and smooth grinding process. A magnetic clamping plate is installed and enables the safe and fast fixation of workpieces. The grinding spindle runs smoothly and quietly, and the hydraulic table movement works evenly.
Visually, the machine shows clear signs of wear such as paint chipping and abrasion on the operating front and on the machine table. However, these do not affect the function. The controls are complete, all important functions are given. The electrical system complies with the label specifications: 380 V, 8 A, 50 Hz. A suitable operating manual is included.
The MATRA MF6 is an ideal choice for companies looking for a reliable, simple and ready-to-use surface grinder – especially where robust mechanics and solid results are more important than modern electronics.
Remarks:
The surface grinder is in a used, but fully functional condition. All main functions – grinding spindle, hydraulic table feed and magnetic clamping plate – work properly. The machine was used in the workshop until the end.
Visually, the system shows clear signs of wear: paint chips, scratches, rust and age-related wear and tear on the cladding and controls. The control front is heavily used, but complete and functional. The view of the work surfaces and guides shows typical wear and tear, but no recognizable structural damage or fractures.
The hydraulic system is running, the table moves smoothly and without any unusual noises. The grinding spindle rotates smoothly, vibrations are not externally recognizable. Electrics and switchgear correspond to the read nameplate (380 V / 8 A), cables and wires are complete and without visible damage.
The existing operating instructions are an additional plus and confirm the completeness of the machine.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I bid on a lot?

To place a bid, you need to have an account with Surplex. You can create one by clicking on 'Create Account' at the top right corner of our website. Once registered and after completing your profile, you can start bidding on your desired items.

What is reserve price?

A reserve price is the (non-visible!) minimum amount that a seller has set for a lot and is the lowest price for which the seller is willing to sell. The highest bidder who meets or exceeds this price wins.

If this price is not met, you can still have a chance to win. The closer your bid is to the reserve price, the greater your chance of winning this lot.

The lot is awarded to the highest bidder whose bid is equal to - or higher than - the reserve price at the end of the auction. If the highest bid has met the reserve price or more, the lot is sold immediately for this price.

How much does it cost to buy at Surplex?

There is a fee, the buyer's premium, added to each lot you win. The amount of the fee is shown on each individual lot. You see the buyer's premium for each lot when you are logged in as a customer at Surplex. Note that VAT is always added to your bid unless otherwise stated.

What is an auto bid versus a manual bid?

An auto bid is a way for you to automatically participate in a bidding process. You enter an amount you are willing to pay for an item and then automatic bids are placed for you up to your maximum bid - but only if necessary. Your maximum bid is hidden from other bidders during the auction. Placed auto bids are indicated by an "A" after the placed bid in the bid history. You need to update a manual bid every time someone outbids you. Keep in mind that an auto bid in the same level as a later manual bid will always lead the auction - because it was placed first.

How does the payment process work?
